Keeping Our Eyes on God in 2025
Sermon Title: Keeping Your Eyes on God in 2025
Scripture: 2 Chronicles 20
As we enter 2025, this sermon encourages us to make God the focus of our lives, just as King Jehoshaphat did when faced with an impossible situation. Using the story from 2 Chronicles 20, we explore four key principles to keep our eyes on God and grow spiritually in the year ahead:
Seek God First—Together: Like Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah, we are called to seek God through prayer and worship, both individually and as a church community.
Remember Who God Is and What He Has Done: Reflecting on God's faithfulness and power in past challenges strengthens our trust in Him for the future.
Give God Control, But Take Your Role: Trusting in God's sovereignty doesn't mean passivity—it calls for obedience and faithfulness as we partner with Him.
Worship Before, During and After the Battle: Worship is an act of faith, declaring God's victory even before we see it and giving Him glory when the battle is won.
This message inspires us to approach the uncertainties of the new year with faith, focus, and a heart committed to following God's lead.
